At NAB, Matrox (Booth: SL6316) will present the Monarch
HDX’s new support for closed captioning, alongside their
complete line of broadcast and streaming products. The
Matrox Monarch HDX’s new closed captioning functionality
retrieves captioning data from the SDI VANC and embeds it
to be streamed. The caption-enhanced H.264 media stream
can be sent to video hosting platforms including You Tube
Live and Ustream, along with media servers, and content
delivery networks (CDNs). As well, Matrox will showcase the
Maevex 6150 quad-4K encoding appliance, the Monarch LCS
lecture capture device, and the Monarch HD professional
streaming and recording appliance.

MediaMelon QBR improves the efficiency of existing adaptive
bitrate video streaming methods, significantly reducing the
volume of data delivered while enhancing quality of experience.
QBR incorporates our patented Content Aware Streaming
technology, which optimizes adaptation and accounts for varying
scene complexity of encoded video, without changing existing
publishing workflows. It is compatible with popular streaming
formats such as HLS, Smooth Streaming and MPEG-DASH, and
with existing compression schemes, including H.264 and HEVC.
